Clean safe convenient to hwy food and gas Owner managed

We had absolutely amazing customer service! The gentleman at the front desk was so kind. Another thing that stood out to all of us was the STUNNING pothos plant in the lobby. It created such a nice and welcoming atmosphere in a fairly desert-esque city. Stunning, and felt so homey while we were out of town. The employees clearly care for it it extremely well, and that mixed with the kindness of the employees was delightful.

Each of the rooms I stayed in had some issues; In the first one (Friday night) the switch for the reading light over the bed was broken and one of the electric outlets had no power. Also, I had requested a ground floor room and in a hotel that seemed 2/3's empty I was on the second floor. On Sunday night (return trip) the shower door did not latch shut. The biggest issue was with the gentleman/owner both trips when I checked in; he needs to drop his male prejudice and learn to address a Lady as ."Ma'am" and not sir and to refer to her as her not him. Even after a gentle correction it continued. The rest of the staff was exemplary and very friendly and efficient.

Everything was great except for a very noisy refrigerator , kept making all kinds of sounds until finally unplugged it. After that, had a great sleep and then plugged it back in the next morning. Like the several close food options near the motel, has a great pool, used it in a previous visit when I was there but did not have time with my schedule to use it on this trip.

After having just stayed at a terrible Motel6 in Phoenix, I wanted to make sure I reviewed this one as it was so much better and was more aligned with the past stays I've experienced when staying at Motel 6. I understand it's a no frills, no thrills place, but I appreciate Motel 6 being pet friendly and affordable. Often times just a place to lay your head down at night is needed and they usually do the job. I called ahead to make sure they'd be open as I was rolling through well past midnight, they said we'll be here. They're right off the freeway but far enough where I couldn't hear the freeway noise at night. There was a girl who seemed to be in training and her manager showing her how to operate things. I can tell he runs a tight ship! The room was clean, the shower's pressure was great and the bed was clean and cozy. Thank you for putting my faith back in Motel 6 after my terrible experience in Phoenix just a few days prior.

We spent time at the Pinnacles and Monterey. This was a nice location. Hotel staff was pleasant. Rooms was clean. Room did have smoke smell even though non-smoking room. Also, be careful when taking a shower because the water can become almost scalding hot on a moment's notice. Not bad for us, but could be concern with an elderly guest or young child.

I'm being slightly generous because, really, what can you expect from the cheesiest motel available? The room was clean. The heater worked. The bed was comfortable. The staff was nice. The microwave worked. I had no reason to use the mini-fridge. The Wi-Fi was pathetic, the TV was useless, and the bathtub drain stopper leaked.

Was concerned as the price was very attractive that this might be a little "rough around the edges". When we arrived, the staff was genuinely nice and thorough. The room was clean and stocked. The pool was refreshing and clean. They even had a BBQ in the pool area you could use and a laundry room! Located next door to the California Highway Patrol, you know the area is going to be ok. A big thank you to the staff for making our stay very pleasant.
